ABOUT SAM

Nice to meet you! I am Samantha Swint, the face behind The Consistent Shift. My path into strength training started long before I ever touched a barbell. I grew up dancing recreationally and eventually moved into competitive dance, until a patellar bone bruise forced me out and into a year of physical therapy. My recovery experience introduced me to the importance of a strong foundation, movement quality, and building a resilient body

After my recovery, I refocused my passion into the gym. When COVID shut the world down, I started training in my mom’s basement and made my best attempt to build a foundation there. Once gyms reopened, I began to explore weights and found my love for powerlifting

10 days before my first powerlifting meet, I pulled a muscle in my back and was forced to drop out of the competition and start from square one. As I navigated my way through another series of rehab and recovery, I learned how to be a mentally resilient athlete and intentional coach.

I took on the challenge to program myself through my first full powerlifting meet prep, using the process to deepen my understanding of injury, progression, and long-term development. I became a better coach on the other side of it, with this knowledge that I now bring directly to my clients who find themselves dealing with the same challenges of injury.

I can now proudly call myself a squat state record holder and national champion in my weight and age division. Those achievements came with discipline, patience, and a commitment to learning. Since, I have shifted to a hybrid style of training that blends my love for lifting with the challenge of endurance and distance training.

Alongside my athletic career, I’ve invested heavily in my education and coaching craft. I hold a degree in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University, one of the strongest programs in the Southeast, and I’ve gained hands-on experience coaching a wide range of clientele, from youth athletes to seniors with chronic conditions.

As a coach, my mission is simple: empower women through strength and knowledge to reach new heights. Whether through one‑on‑one coaching, Lift Like a Lady workshops, or Empower Haus community events, I create welcoming, educational spaces where women can learn, lift, and grow with confidence. My mission is to be the guide and model for all women to look, feel, and be the strongest & most confident versions of themselves.
